Draft Order Rules
Beginning with the 2024 Season
- Draft Order will be determined by an Ordered Selection Process
- The Ordered Selection Process will be determined as follows:
- Choice #1- 6th Place Team after Playoffs
- Choice #2- 7th Place Team after Playoffs
- Choice #3- 8th Place Team after Playoffs
- Choice #4- 9th Place Team after Playoffs
- Choice #5- 10th Place Team after Playoffs
- Choice #6- 11th Place Team after Playoffs
- Choice #7- 5th Place Team after Playoffs
- Choice #8- 4th Place Team after Playoffs
- Choice #9- 3rd Place Team after Playoffs
- Choice #10- 2nd Place Team after Playoffs
- Choice #11- 1st Place Team after Playoffs
- Choice # is not the same as Draft Position. The Team will select their Draft Position from the remaining slots when their Choice comes up.
- Examples:
- 6th Place Team after Playoffs can choose whichever Draft Position they want from 1-10.
- 7th Place Team after Playoff can choose whichever Draft Positions remain at that point
- So on and so forth
- Examples:
Logic behind the Ordered Selection Process
- Provides incentive for Teams 6-11 to compete Weeks 15-17 for higher choice or Draft Position.
- Provides opportunity for Teams 6-11 to improve next season with potentially better Draft Position.
- Provides balance with Teams 1-2 not guaranteed a great Draft Position
